Aamir Khan supports PM Modi’s demonetization policy



The charming star of Bollywood Aamir Khan has come out in support of Prime minister Narendra Modi’s decision to abolish 500 & 1000 rupee notes in India. Lauding the initiative that has been instituted to curb black-money, Aamir Khan made it clear that one needs to do things that the country requires it’s countrymen to do.

Talking at the song launch of  Dangal movie, Khan said, “I think these issues which're concerning our country are more important. We should not see the short-term impact of it.The things that we need to do for our country, we should do it. Even if it (demonetization) causes loss to my movie, I will see it as a small thing.”


Khan also dismissed the poor turn-out to watch the latest release bollywood film Rock On 2 as a one-off incident and refused to tag it as the aftereffects of demonetization.

When Khan asked by reporter if he had faced any problems after 500 and 1000 rupee notes were declared illegal tender, Khan quipped, “I don not have money at all. It did not make any difference to me.”

Bollywood Nagri mean while has come out in strong support of PM Modi’s initiative. Post the Proclaimanation, many Bollywood guys took to Twitter to congratulate PM Modi for his great move. From the ShehenShah of Bollywood Amitabh Bachchan to Rajinikanth, celebs tweeted their good wishes. Even Pm Modi’s staunchest critic Anurag Kashyap lauded the PM. The lone one who criticised Modi was Arshad Warsi who vented his frustration on Twitter yesterday.
Dangal movie director Nitesh Tiwari too exhorted one and all to look at the larger picture rather than the short term inconveniences.
